If it wasn’t a big day for Rudy Giuliani, America’s most dangerous candidate, then I don’t know what was. His campaign is holding a fund raising event in Kazakstan, where American oil men, tied to his his legal firm, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP are ponying upwards of $1,000 for a plate (presumably of American food). Although it’s not illegal for Americans abroad to give money to a campaign, it will be interesting to find out if anyone from the corrupt Kazakh government finagles money in there.
Giuliani, ever the politician on the hunt for money–and aggrandizement–has fired his chief fund raiser, Anne Dunnsmore.
Now, it appears that Giuliani has a lead in New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from the place where “America’s Mayor” has been exploiting a tragedy for years.
