The New York Times ran this story, which relates to Mr. Giuliani’s gun pandering. Of course, I need go no further. This is a man who will, to borrow a phrase from Lynn Cheney, “say and do anything to get elected.”
Apparently, Mayor Mike Bloomberg takes issue with Giuliani’s contention that a gun lawsuit the former mayor began before leaving office has been changed to reflect rabid anti-gun laws.
Of course, it’s not all that easy to own a gun in New York City as compared to say, Newburgh, New York and a part of that reason has to do with the gun violence that that former New York City Mayors David Dinkins and Giuliani inherited.
Nowadays, with Giuliani trying to impress everyone with a NASCAR or flag bumper sticker from Portland, Maine to Jonesboro, Arkansas and all the way to Petaluma, California, he’s gotta be Mr. Gun.
I fully expect him to pull a John Kerry and be photographed leaving an Ohio field covered in Orange after blowing away some innocent birds.
